Formed in 2016, this is ShutDown’s fourth year of competition. Each year, it has improved on its results.  In 2016, in its inaugural year, ShutDown placed 10th at Nationals. In 2017, ShutDown placed fifth at Nationals, losing only to the two teams that made the finals. With its strong finish, ShutDown qualified and went to the Worlds Masters Ultimate Club Championships in Canada in 2018, placing sixth. This year, ShutDown is looking to once again improve its standing against a growing and strengthening field of competitors. 

At the 2019 USA Ultimate Masters Championships, the Ultimate Foundation ran a fundraising contest among all of the competing teams. The team that raised the most money by the end of the last round on Saturday earned bragging rights and customized Ultimate Foundation glass sports mugs.
